Jewel’s Secret .. Continued (part 5)
Continued
I turned around and looked at Prince Fiancé irately. His face was flat and bland. He went over to Princess Celia’s side and quickly pressed his lips to her cheek. I inwardly cursed at myself for believing him. Never trust a man who looks prettier than you.
“What do you want?” I said through gritted teeth. I was so furious that I wanted to eat both of them. My cheeks suddenly felt extremely warm and I was hyper aware of my surroundings.
“Well, since my brother has no chance of returning, I think you should be given the same punishment.”
“Death doesn’t really have an impact on me. Or did you not go to kindergarten, Princess Celia?” I said, while emphatically rolling my eyes.
I gave a confident smirk. Yeah, so it was two against one but Celia should be counted as half. And also, I can kill them and they can’t kill me. What were they expecting? They would slay me with their big sword and I would bleed eternally. Nope! That’s not how it works. Trust me, I’ve tried.
Princess Celia gave a grin of her own. She looked towards her fiancé who mirrored her grin. She revealed a K-Bar tactical knife in her hands and placed it into her fiancé’s capable and large hands.
“Hope you kids have fun.” Her last words echoed into the tiny room, making me nervous and sweat formed on my forehead. She exited the room through a trap door that I guess I hadn’t noticed before, leaving me alone with the traitor prince.
He smiled awkwardly and stepped towards me, which I countered by taking a step backwards.
“So, this is what’s going to happen princess. You are going to come with me very quietly or else, I will resort to plan B.”
“Let me guess. More lies.” I shouted confidently this time. When he didn’t reply, I decided to continue.
“You know that you should never bring a knife to a gunfight.” I said pointing at his knife.
“Who said we were fighting?” he said with a shocked face.
“Save it for the dumb girl who can be fooled twice. You want me to listen to your orders? FAT CHANCE!” I screamed. Aware that I had no idea what I was doing, I decided to charge at him. Maybe I could satisfy my hunger and kill Celia before the ball ended. You know, the whole kill two birds with one stone. But, I didn’t have a stone. Just a pair of fangs on my side.
I guess Mr. Fiancé didn’t think I would take a hands-on approach to this situation. I managed to take out his K-bar knife from his hands but he pulled on my wrist a little harder than I expected which made me wince. He brought both of my hands above my head and crashed my back into the opposing brick wall.
“Why can’t we just play nice?” his voice was breathy but still understandable.
“I don’t really play with guys like you.” I said trying to wiggle my hands from his hold.
“You probably eat guys like me, don’t you? Tell me the truth. You came here for a snack, didn’t you princess?”
“A princess doesn’t kill and tell.” I said, trying to get one of my legs up to kick him in the shin. My heel hit on target and he released his hold on me. He stepped backwards while I used my other foot to swipe the knife to the far end of the room, away from the prince’s view.
He stooped down and grabbed my left ankle. I let myself get dragged by Mr. Fiancé capable hands and then he did something I didn’t expect. He twisted my ankle. HARD. As in so hard, I could not walk.
“STOP!” I screamed with tears in my eyes. I looked at my swollen ankle. It was bloated and inflamed. After a while, I glanced up to meet the prince’s gaze. He was unapologetic.
“You were the one who wanted to do this the hard way.” He said in a low voice.
I didn’t have the strength to reply. Tears leaked down my cheeks as he threw me over his shoulder.
“I thought you would like to royal treatment.”
Ignoring his stupid comments, I crossed my arms over my chest and let him carry me up the stairs. My ankle was hurting so bad that I couldn’t even register where I was. He brought me into a room where a lonely bed lay in the right corner. There was a single window, right above the bed where the dim moonlight shone into the room, illuminating our features.
“Make yourself at home.” He said as he let me down onto the cold, ugly bed.
“This was your big plan? Lock me up in a tower?” I said finally wanting to know what the plan was exactly.
“You can’t be killed. So, it’s the only way we could punish you. We won’t let you eat other people and you will starve of human nutrients. So therefore, you will kill yourself.”
“You really used your brain this time.” I rolled my eyes, not trying very hard to cover the sarcasm in my voice. What a stupid plan! There is no way I am going to stay here. No way.
“Sleep well, Princess Jewel. You are going to be here for a long time.” His voice echoed in the gloomy room before he closed the door shut, leaving me alone in the darkness.
But I knew one day, I would get out. No matter what. And I would get my revenge!
The End.
