Light Showers Bring Relief to Karachi, Humidity Remains High
KARACHI: Several areas of Karachi, including Golimar, Garden, Saddar, Gulistan-e-Johar, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal, experienced light showers on Monday, offering residents a brief respite from the recent heat.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the increased moisture in the air is causing cloud formation, with the city likely to receive drizzle or light rain at intervals throughout the day. However, humid conditions will persist.
Today’s maximum temperature in Karachi is expected to reach 33°C, while humidity stands at 83 percent. Winds are blowing from the southwest at 19 kilometers per hour.
The Met Office added that the monsoon spell will continue intermittently until September 30, but no heavy rainfall is expected in Karachi during this period.
Meanwhile, most parts of the country are likely to remain hot and dry over the next twelve hours. Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas, however, may witness partly cloudy weather with chances of rain, wind, and thunderstorms in the evening or night.
