Karachi Tanker Accidents Kill Pregnant Woman Family & Others
A tragic accident happened at Vita Chowrangi in the Korangi area of Karachi when a fast-moving water tanker hit a motorcycle. The motorcyclist died on the spot. Rescue teams quickly reached the area and took the body to the hospital.
In a similar case earlier, a pregnant woman and her husband died when a heavy water tanker ran over their motorcycle near Malir Halt. According to rescue sources, the couple was on their way to the hospital for the woman’s delivery.
Sadly, the crash was so severe that the baby came out of the woman’s womb due to the impact. The woman, her baby, and her husband were all taken to the hospital, but none of them survived.

The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Korangi confirmed that the tanker’s driver and helper have been arrested. A case will be registered against them.
Traffic Accidents Increasing in Karachi
According to rescue services, traffic accidents are rising at an alarming rate in Karachi. In just the first 45 days of 2025, at least 107 people have lost their lives in road accidents. These include 78 men, 14 women, 11 children, and 4 girls.
The Chhipa Welfare Association reported that in addition to the deaths, 1,493 people have been injured. Among them are 1,290 men, 193 women, 42 children, and 18 girls.
