Liverpool Close in on Sweden Star Alexander Isak in Record Deal
Liverpool has reportedly reached an agreement to sign Sweden international Alexander Isak, according to sources. Football journalist Fabrizio Romano also confirmed that Isak is set to undergo medical tests today, ahead of joining the Reds on a long-term deal that was agreed months ago.

Earlier this month, Liverpool had an initial £110 million offer for Isak rejected, but the new deal now surpasses the £115 million Chelsea paid Brighton for Moises Caicedo in 2023. For Newcastle, finding a replacement for Isak on deadline day has become a pressing challenge. Their recent club-record signing of Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart for up to £69 million appears to have paved the way for Liverpool’s successful pursuit of the striker.
