Will not stop condemning the Israeli government: Malala makes clear that she is “supporting the people of Gaza”

Malala makes clear that she is "supporting the people of Gaza"

Using social media, Malala Yousafzai has clarified her position on her “support for the people of Gaza.” Malala has issued an official statement following severe international criticism for collaborating with Hillary Clinton on the Nobel Prize laureate’s Broadway debut as a co-producer.

“I wanted to speak today because I want there to be no confusion about my support for the people of Gaza,” started the young activist. “For over six months, we have all watched in sorrow and rage as the Palestinian people are subjected to ceaseless horrors. The discovery of mass graves at the Nasser and al-Shifa hospitals in Gaza this past week serves as just another reminder of the atrocities that Palestinians must endure.”

She went on, “I don’t know how Palestinians tolerate it in their bones; it is difficult enough to witness from a distance. More dead corpses, blasted schools, and starved children don’t need to occur for us to realize how important and necessary a ceasefire is. I have and will continue to denounce the Israeli government for its war crimes and transgressions against international law, and I support the efforts of those who are committed to holding them accountable. I will continue pleading with international leaders to secure the delivery of immediate humanitarian relief and to work toward a ceasefire both in public and privately.”
