NADRA Opens New Facilitation Centre in Islamabad
New NADRA Citizen Facilitation Centre Opens in Islamabad’s G-11 Sector
ISLAMABAD: In a major step toward improving public service delivery, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new Citizen Facilitation Centre in Islamabad’s G-11 sector. The initiative is designed to streamline identity-related services for residents by bringing multiple functions under one roof.
The newly inaugurated centre offers a comprehensive range of services, including:
Issuance of Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs)
Child Registration Certificates (B-Forms)
Family Registration Certificates (FRCs)
Marital status updates
Cancellation of identity documents due to death
The centre aims to reduce long queues and repeated visits by offering quicker, more accessible services in a centralised location. This move is part of NADRA’s wider strategy to decentralise its operations and improve service delivery in Islamabad and surrounding areas.
Previously, NADRA extended some services to union councils in regions like Saidpur, Sihala, and Model Town. However, the G-11 Citizen Facilitation Centre represents a major leap in convenience and operational efficiency.
Officials anticipate that the new centre will serve thousands of citizens each week, significantly reducing processing times and enhancing the overall user experience.
This launch aligns with NADRA’s ongoing mission to modernise Pakistan’s identity management infrastructure and provide user-friendly digital solutions to the public.
New FRC Policy in Effect from July 2025
As part of the modernisation effort, NADRA has also introduced updated Family Registration Certificate (FRC) policies. The FRC, a critical identity document, is now issued based strictly on NADRA records and requires applicants to submit a signed assurance confirming the accuracy of the data.
Under the revised framework, families are categorised into three types:
Alpha – by birth
Beta – by marriage
Gamma – by adoption
Applicants must ensure all family members are listed correctly. Any discrepancies, such as missing or incorrect information, can be corrected through NADRA offices or its official mobile application.
The new FRC format is designed to eliminate confusion—particularly in cases involving multiple marriages—by offering complete and transparent family data.
Stay tuned for more updates as NADRA continues to enhance its services for the people of Pakistan.
