Eight Iranian fishermen are rescued by the Pakistan Navy

Following a successful open-water operation, the Pakistan Navy (PN) successfully rescued eight Iranian fishermen who were trapped, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.

The fishermen’s vessel caught fire, and PNS Yarmook reacted to a distress call, according to a statement released by the ISPR.

Iranian diplomats later received the fishermen who had been saved.

Eight Iranian fisherman were saved on March 25 as the Pakistan Navy rapidly responded to another distress call from a burning ship in open waters, the military said in a statement.

The ISPR reports that PNS Yarmook “executed the rescue operation with extreme agility, showcasing humanitarian values” in response to the distress call, which was received swiftly.

The statement said that in addition to saving all of the fishermen, the ship did a fantastic job of putting out the fire.

The prompt and effective rescue effort demonstrated the Pakistan Navy’s adaptability to a wide range of maritime circumstances.

Nine Indian seafarers were saved from certain death at sea by the Pakistan Navy and the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) one month earlier in February.

A St. Kitts and Nevis-registered Ocean Tug SAS-5 that was 167 nautical miles southeast of Karachi on the Indian coast had been rendered inoperable for the past few days. According to a Pakistan Navy news release, the tug experienced an electric generator failure and lost power.
