Government Presents Civilian Award to Kaptaan Peshawari Chappal Maker
The Presidential Award for Excellence was given to NoorDin Elias, well known as Chacha, during a ceremony held at Governor House Peshawar on Pakistan Day.
The occasion honored people from a variety of professions, including academics, physicians, and government officials, for their outstanding contributions to society. Among them was NoorDin Elias, who was well-known for his extraordinary slipper-making abilities.
The man everyone loves to refer to as “Chacha” is renowned for his skill in creating slippers. He became well-known after giving former prime minister Imran Khan—the man behind the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party—a pair of slippers, dubbed the captain’ slippers.
