Lifting the IPL trophy, Shah Rukh Khan celebrates his win with his family and B-Town personalities
After his Indian Premier League club, Kolkata Knight Riders, blasted their way to an electrifying eight-wicket victory in the league final, an ecstatic Shah Rukh Khan embraced his wife, Gauri Khan, with joy.
Despite having recently suffered from heatstroke, the Bollywood star and co-owner of KKR made sure to attend the final with his wife, Suhana, Aryan, and AbRam. With their victory on Sunday, KKR—who last won the cup in 2014—now owns three IPL trophies.
In a touching Instagram photo, which she and SRK shared, Gauri documented the festivities while grinning and holding the coveted trophy. Gauri used a heart emoji and the succinct but sweet comment, “Winners @kkriders.”
With a proud smile on his face, SRK was spotted extending his congratulations to each member of the victorious squad. He even staged a staged flying kiss, mimicking the same move that had earned KKR Harshit Rana an official punishment at the beginning of the season. In order to complete the victory, SRK even kissed team manager Gautam Gambhir on the forehead.
Suhana, SRK’s daughter, added to the happiness and pride in the family by posting a cute Instagram story of her father doing a cartwheel on the field with the word “mood,” which refers to the pure joy that the KKR camp is radiating.
Along with fellow Bollywood star Juhi Chawla and her spouse Jay Mehta, SRK is co-owner of the KKR. Indian media reports that the super star’s active involvement in the team’s highs and lows underscores his enduring love and dedication to cricket as well as his strong bonds with the cricketing family he has adopted.
