"Anti-national" PTI determined to undermine the agreement between Pakistan and the IMF: Tarar

Attaullah Tarar, the minister of information and broadcasting, claimed on Friday that a small group of “miscreants” connected to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were determined to destroy Pakistan’s agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which is essential for maintaining the country’s economy.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, he stated, “Some miscreants protested in front of IMF and World Bank offices in the United States and indulged in sloganeering against the Pakistan Army in an attempt to disrupt Pakistan’s ongoing talks with the IMF.”

He regretted that members of a “anti-national party” were still staging sit-ins and demonstrations outside the IMF headquarters. The demonstrators, who belonged to the PTI, were pleading with the IMF to grant Pakistan funding only once their imprisoned leader was released.

The minister praised the foreign Pakistanis who were sending their hard-earned money home through white-collar and blue-collar work abroad, adding, “This is a fashionable crowd, and these are the enemies of Pakistan who have no love for the country.”

He said that these demonstrators were calling for an end to financial support for Pakistani citizens who wore pricey designer shoes and carried designer handbags.

“They merely intended to undermine the IMF agreement in order to force Pakistan to default, but Insha’Allah, Pakistan would advance and its growth rate would quickly rise. The minister stated unequivocally, “The heinous conspiracies of anti-national elements would not have any effect on the IMF deal.” Imran Khan, the original chairman of the PTI who is currently in prison, was engaged in the cipher case, a 190-million-pound scam, and the Toshakhana swindle.

He told the PTI that the IMF and World Bank had nothing to do with Imran’s issues and that they should take their case to Pakistani courts to get him released. According to Tarar, the nation’s current stability may be attributed to the sacrifices made by ghazis, martyrs, and patriotic political leaders.

“Allah Almighty has consistently shielded Pakistan from both external and internal threats, and the progress of the IMF talks is evident in the stock exchange trends,” he continued.

He insisted, “We have been elected by the people to solve the problems in the nation, not to increase them.”

He remarked that in line with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision, tremendous work will be put into making the nation affluent.

He went on to say that the premier had presented a thorough plan for economic changes that included expanding the tax network, cutting government spending, and reorganizing the Federal Reserve.

According to Tarar, things have started to get better economically since PM Shehbaz took charge. According to the minister, PM Shehbaz had been working toward the goal of setting the nation on a course for development and prosperity and desired an early resolution to the issues facing the nation.

He said that because Muhammad Aurangzeb had authority over economic matters, outside organizations such as Bloomberg were applauding his nomination to the position of Finance Minister in the nation.

Regretfully, the minister stated, Pakistan’s interests were being conspired against by a “anti-national party” that was implicated in the events of May 9.

He said that while the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership was imprisoned as a result of false accusations, the honor and dignity of the nation were never compromised.

Tarar said, “This is the mission of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and we will be moving forward with the same spirit,” urging the young to support Pakistan rather than any political party.

In response to a question, he stated that the PTI will be asked to abstain from actions that jeopardize the nation’s economy or stability during the discussions.
