Pakistan Cricket Board’s Training Camp 29 Players Prepare for New Zealand T20I Series
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a list of 29 players who will participate in a training camp at an Army base in Kakul starting on March 26. This camp aims to prepare the players for the upcoming home five-match T20I series against New Zealand in April.
The list of players includes prominent names such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, among others. The training camp will be crucial in assessing the players’ fitness levels and refining their skills ahead of the series.
The camp is set to conclude on April 8, just before the Eid-ul-Fitr festivities. The selected squad for the T20I series against New Zealand will be announced after the training camp.
The New Zealand cricket team, also known as the Blackcaps, is expected to arrive in Islamabad on April 14. The series will kick off with three T20Is at Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium on April 18, 20, and 21. Subsequently, the teams will move to Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium for the final two T20Is scheduled for April 25 and 27.
The selection of players for the training camp reflects the PCB’s commitment to fostering talent and ensuring the national team is well-prepared for international competitions.
