Cricket player fans chastised Nazish Jahangir after she turned down an imagined relationship

Cricket player fans chastised Nazish Jahangir

After receiving outrage from his followers, actor Nazish Jahangir became involved in controversy over statements she made about a fictitious marriage proposal from Pakistani cricket team captain Babar Azam. The incident started on Instagram when Jahangir said, “maaazarat hi karun gi” (I will excuse myself from the offer), in response to a question about how she would feel if Azam proposed to her.

After receiving backlash from Babar’s supporters, Jahangir decided to make her Instagram account private in order to stop receiving insults.

Jahangir responded to the controversy by releasing a counter-screen grab that purportedly showed her angrily criticizing people who were making fun of her on Instagram for turning down Babar’s fictitious proposal. “It’s sad how these barbarians show their true colors or defame not just me but also our Babar Azam,” Jahangir said, denouncing the fake screenshot and expressing regret at the trolls’ actions. I feel sorry for them because they are yelling [in] reverence for him.

The Inaam e Mohabbat star remained steadfast in the face of criticism and trolling, declaring, “I’m just saying this because I don’t want to utter any bullshit since there’s a lot of difference between your calibre and mine…thus proceed.

She further added that her earlier remarks on Babar were misunderstood and emphasized that she views all national cricket players as brothers. With the words, “Na meri cricketers se leni na deni (I have nothing to do with cricketers), all are bros to me tbh [to be honest],” she implored the cricketer’s followers to stop spreading hate.

Jahangir also restated her previous statement that she would not marry into the entertainment business, saying that she would rather have a spouse from outside of Pakistan and that she intended to go overseas after marriage.

“It is absolutely evident that I will never marry someone in the industry. Even better would be if he wasn’t from Pakistan. She recently stated, “I’ve never thought about it, but if given the chance, I will reside anyplace overseas after marriage, be it USA, Dubai, Canada, or even UK.
