The last episode of "Ishq Murshid" will premiere in theaters on May 3

It has been reported by the local media and perceptive viewers who have seen posters in theaters that the last episode of the television drama series Ishq Murshid would be shown on Friday, May 3. It is said that two days following its theatrical debut, the program will be aired on television and the internet.

The drama, which was directed by Farooq Rind and starred Bilal Abbas Khan as Fazal Bakhsh/Shahmeer Sikandar and Durefishan Saleem as Shibra Suleman, debuted on television in October 2023. Ishq Murshid depicts the story of a politician’s son who falls in love with a woman who despises the dishonest political establishment. He poses as an everyday guy to the girl of his dreams in an attempt to win her love.

Both reviewers and fans had conflicting feelings about the show when the first episode aired. Social media users bemoaned the lack of chemistry between the two protagonists and said that the narrative was “cliched” and “predictable.” Some bemoaned the fact that the male lead was the only one who stole the show, labeling the female lead as a “forgettable” figure. But despite the characters’ and story’s lackluster reaction, the Ishq Murshid music has become the “fastest Pakistani OST to cross 100 million views on YouTube,” per a Hum TV Instagram post.

Loyal viewers of the program have voiced their regret that the narrative is coming to an end on social media as word spreads that the last episode is almost ready for publication. One fan turned to X to share online posters for the next show and share their dismay at not being able to view the premiere as soon as it was out. The fan expressed her annoyance at real life standing in the way of seeing the episode at the movies while praising Bilal and Durefishan’s performances throughout the program.

Another fan tweeted a poster of the episode’s theater premiere on X along with a heart and sobbing emoji.
