Pakistan, US Officials Discuss Counterterrorism, Immigration Cooperation
Islamabad — Federal Minister for Interior, Rana Sanaullah Naqvi, described his meeting with FBI Director Kash Patel as “excellent,” highlighting discussions on counterterrorism, illegal immigration, and officer exchange programs.
In a post on X, Naqvi praised the FBI director’s professionalism and vision, calling him “a great partner to work with.”
“Had an excellent meeting with FBI Director Kash Patel. We discussed cooperation on illegal immigration, counter-terrorism, and officer exchange programs. His professionalism and vision make him a great partner to work with,” the minister wrote.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif departed for London following a week-long visit to the United States, where he led Pakistan’s delegation to the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). During the US visit, the prime minister also held a meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House, accompanied by Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asif Munir.
This marked PM Shehbaz’s third time leading Pakistan’s delegation to the UNGA. Before leaving, he addressed the General Assembly, presenting Pakistan’s stance on a wide range of global issues under discussion.
