Pakistani Fan Removed Over Jersey at England India Test
Pakistani Fan Removed for Wearing Team Jersey at England-India Test Match
A Pakistani cricket fan named Farooq Nazar was asked to leave the stadium during the fourth England vs India Test match. He was wearing a Pakistan cricket team jersey, which led to the incident.
A stadium supervisor asked Nazar to cover his shirt. The request was made because of a similar situation the day before, when fans waving a Pakistan flag argued with Indian supporters. To avoid any new trouble, the club took extra precautions.
Even after several requests, Nazar refused to cover his jersey. As a result, he was removed from the stadium.
Lancashire County Cricket Club explained that the decision was not based on the jersey itself but on Nazar’s behavior toward the staff.
The club has now reviewed the incident and admitted it could have been handled better. They apologized to Nazar and said they would improve how such cases are managed in the future.
The club also confirmed that there is no official rule against wearing any national cricket team shirt, including Pakistan’s.
This happened during a high-tension match that drew big crowds and strong fan emotions.
