Islamabad police arrest parents of Zahir Jaffer in hiding evidence of Noor’s murder case
Islamabad police on Saturday arrested the parents and household staff of suspect Zahir Zakir Jaffer ; accused of torturing and brutally killing Noor Mukadam ; for “hiding evidence and being complicit in the crime”.
Also, In a statement, a police spokesperson says several people including Zahir’s father Zakir Jaffer; mother Asmat Adamjee and household staff Iftikhar and Jameel include in the investigation; based on the statement of the victim’s father, former ambassador Shaukat Ali Mukadam.
Moreover, besides, people who are connect to the case as witnesses or in any other capacity; also include in the investigation.. Also, it says, adding that evidence was being collect from all the people.
Meanwhile, sealing orders have been issued for Therapyworks where Zahir reportedly worked as a therapist, Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat said.

Police grants 2-day physical remand
The four suspects were present in a local court in Islamabad on Sunday amid tight security.
A police official told the court that Noor had jumped from an air shaft in order to escape. “The household staff saw the suspect dragging the victim back into the house. If they had informed the police timely, the murder could have been stopped.”
He said a neighbour had phoned police and they had reached the house in three minutes and requested the court to grant physical remand of the suspects so their mobile phones could retrieve.
The counsel for Zahir’s parents and household staff, Advocate Rizwan Abbasi, said his clients condemned the murder. “My clients want justice to be done. Police took them into custody despite them [having obtained] bail. We will get a contempt case and an FIR registered against police.”
After hearing the arguments. the court granted police two-day physical remand of Zahir’s parents and his household staff.
