Rain and Thunderstorms Forecasted by PMD Karachi and Beyond Brace for Weather Impact

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rain and thunderstorms for various areas of the country, including Karachi, beginning April 16.

According to the most recent weather update from the PMD, a strong westerly weather system is expected to enter the western parts of Pakistan on the night of April 16. The forecast suggests that Balochistan will feel the impact of this weather system on April 17.

By April 18, the westerly system is predicted to reach the northern regions of Pakistan. The weather change is anticipated to bring significant rainfall and thunderstorms to various areas.

In Sindh, the rain is expected to hit several cities, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, Dadu, Qambar Shahdad Kot, Jamshoro, and Sanghar. This rain is forecasted to start on the night of April 17 and continue until the morning of April 19.

The PMD has advised people in these areas to prepare for the possibility of heavy rain and thunderstorms during this period. Strong winds and potential flooding are also possible, so residents are encouraged to stay safe and take necessary precautions.

The rainy weather may disrupt daily activities, including transportation and outdoor events. However, the rain could also bring relief to farmers and those dealing with water shortages, particularly in drier regions.

In summary, the PMD has forecasted rain and thunderstorms across various parts of Pakistan, with the strongest impact expected in the western and northern regions, as well as parts of Sindh. Residents should remain cautious and prepared for the changing weather conditions during the coming days.
