PSG Beat Barcelona 2-1 as Ramos Scores Late Winner

Ramos Snatches Late Win as PSG Edge Barcelona 2-1

In a dramatic finish at the Olympic Stadium, Paris Saint-Germain secured a 2-1 victory over Barcelona, with Goncalo Ramos netting the decisive goal in the 90th minute.

Barcelona’s defensive line was exposed late in the game, as Achraf Hakimi raced forward and delivered a pinpoint cross for Ramos to finish. PSG coach Luis Enrique’s side admitted they were simply outmatched.

German coach Hansi Flick acknowledged that his team was below its best and that PSG deserved the win. “With the score at 1-1, you have to defend better and maintain structure,” Flick said. “We will learn from this and improve for future games against teams of this quality.”

Reflecting on his team’s performance, Flick added, “There is no point in saying we are on the same level, but I believe in my team. Today wasn’t our best day. We train to get better, and this game will help us a lot moving forward. The whole team has to defend and attack together.”

Flick praised PSG’s quality, noting their combination of youth, speed, and technical ability. “The philosophy they have is fantastic. Their players are quick, skillful, and of very high quality.”

Despite the setback, Flick remained optimistic. “When we play at our best, we can match Luis Enrique’s side. Today showed the level of PSG, and I’m 100 percent sure we can reach that standard.”
