Earthquake Shakes Punjab and Balochistan Damages Reported
The National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) has confirmed that people felt earthquake tremors in Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, and other parts of Punjab.
The centre of the earthquake was about 25 km north of Lahore, and it was 14 km deep underground.
When the tremors were felt, people quickly came out of their homes while reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba. Thankfully, no one was hurt in this area.
Earthquake Tremors Felt in Punjab and Balochistan
Earlier on Sunday morning, another earthquake with a strength of 5.5 struck the Musakhel district in Balochistan.
The earthquake’s centre was about 80 km northwest of Dera Ghazi Khan.
The tremors caused damage in the Rārāsham area. Two houses collapsed, five others were partly damaged, and three people were injured, according to local officials.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said that teams have been sent to the area to help the people and to check how much damage has been done.
