Ramadan 2024 Utility Stores Cut Ghee, Cooking Oil Prices, Introduce Relief Package

The Utility Stores Corporation has brought some good news for the public just before the arrival of Ramadan 2024 by lowering the prices of ghee and cooking oil. This move is expected to provide significant relief to the people. Apart from ghee and cooking oil, the prices of various other items like soap and washing powder have also decreased.

According to reports, the prices of ghee and cooking oil from different brands have been reduced by as much as Rs100 per kilogramme. Additionally, the prices of branded tea have also seen a decrease of up to Rs100.

To further assist the public during Ramadan, the utility stores will introduce a special relief package next month specifically for members of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). This initiative aims to support those in need during the holy month of fasting.

Ramadan, a sacred time of fasting and reflection, is expected to begin on March 11 or 12 in Pakistan. This reduction in prices comes as a welcome relief for many households preparing for the upcoming month.
