Samiya Hijab Kidnap Allegation
TikTok Star Samiya Hijab Opens Up About Ex-Fiancé’s Alleged Kidnapping Attempt
Islamabad — TikTok personality Samiya Hijab, a close friend of the late social media star Sana Yousuf, has shared shocking details about an alleged kidnapping attempt by her ex-fiancé, Hassan Zahid. In a recent interview with a private TV channel, Hijab explained why she ended their engagement and the terrifying events that followed.
Hijab revealed that she had known Zahid for over six months before getting engaged. She said Zahid had proposed with a gold ring, which she accepted after seeing his good side, though she requested a five to six-year gap before marriage.
However, after the engagement, Hijab claimed that Zahid and his family began pressuring her to marry sooner. Despite his repeated attempts to make her sign the Nikah papers, she insisted that their marriage should take place openly in front of both families.
The relationship reportedly began to unravel after Hijab witnessed Zahid’s abusive behavior, particularly following the tragic death of her friend Sana Yousuf. She also learned that Zahid was allegedly involved in a multi-million rupee fraud case, which prompted her to call off the engagement and return the proposal ring.
Following the breakup, Hijab alleges that Zahid began stalking her and even attempted to kidnap her, issuing threats of death and acid attacks. She said she had blocked multiple phone numbers used by Zahid and had considered moving homes, though she couldn’t due to her mother’s health issues.
“He wanted to kidnap me just because I refused to marry him,” Hijab told the channel. “I still fear him. His threats haunt me. He threatened to kill me, which led me to file a second case against him.”
Last week, Hijab shared a video on social media showing CCTV footage of Zahid arriving at her Islamabad residence, snatching her phone, and forcibly trying to put her in a car. Following her complaint, police arrested Zahid within a day and secured a physical remand, later extended for three days.
According to Hijab, Zahid had arrived in a black vehicle with no license plates, armed, and had threatened to lock her in a basement where no one could find her.
This case continues to unfold as authorities investigate the serious allegations, drawing attention to the safety of social media influencers in Pakistan.
