The warrants for Dar’s arrest have been put on hold by the NAB court.

Ishaq Dar, former finance minister and PML-N leader, had arrest warrants issued for him in a case involving his being declared a proclaimed criminal, but on Friday, an accountability court in Islamabad postponed the warrants. Dar, who is currently based in London, was branded an absconder in a corruption reference in 2017.

 

At Friday’s session, PML-N leader Qazi Misbah’s attorney, Qazi Misbah, formally asked the court to recall the arrest order it had issued. “It is imperative that Dar not be taken into custody by the National Accountability Bureau.
