Trump May Visit Pakistan in September Amid South Asia Tour

ISLAMABAD – Former U.S. President Donald Trump is likely to visit Pakistan on September 18, 2025, as part of his scheduled tour of South Asia, according to diplomatic sources. The trip is expected to include a stop in India as well.

While the reports have not been officially confirmed, Pakistani Senator Sherry Rehman of the Pakistan People’s Party called the potential visit a “welcome development.” However, she emphasized that confirmation would come through the Foreign Office once finalized.

The news comes months after Trump claimed that his administration played a key role in preventing a nuclear conflict between Pakistan and India earlier this year. In a press briefing on May 13, Trump said his team had successfully brokered a ceasefire following a dangerous escalation between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.

“On Saturday, my administration helped broker a full and immediate ceasefire, and I believe it will be a permanent one… ending a dangerous conflict between two nuclear-armed nations,” Trump told reporters at the White House.

He further praised both nations for showing “strength and wisdom” during the tense standoff.

While more details about Trump’s itinerary are awaited, his possible visit marks a significant diplomatic moment amid ongoing regional tensions.
