UFC Fight Night Preview: Sterling, Walker, and Mingyang Set for Action

Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling is back in the octagon this weekend, headlining an exciting fight card that also features a key light heavyweight clash.

Anthony Walker is eager to bounce back after suffering back-to-back knockout losses to Magomed Ankalaev and Volkan Oezdemir. The 13th-ranked light heavyweight has won only three of his last six bouts, defeating Anthony Smith, Ion Cuțelaba, and Paul Craig. Walker’s professional record stands at 21 wins, 9 losses, and 1 no contest.

Walker will face Mingyang, who enters the fight on an impressive winning streak, undefeated since 2019. The fighter has racked up 14 consecutive victories, including strong performances against Anthony Smith and Ozzy Diaz. Notably, every one of Mingyang’s UFC fights has ended in a TKO. Despite his dominance, Mingyang is currently ranked 14th in the division, holding a professional record of 19 wins and 6 losses.

In the co-main event, Aljamain Sterling returns to face Brian Ortega. Sterling made a successful comeback at UFC 300 but suffered a setback against Movsar Evloev at UFC 310. The featherweight contender has won four of his last six fights and is ranked No. 7 in the division, with a professional record of 24 wins and 5 losses.
