Michelle Obama said Beyoncé’s latest album, Cowboy Carter, is creating history.

Act II of Beyoncé’s Renaissance album, the new country-themed record, was praised by the former First Lady of the United States on her Instagram on Tuesday.

Obama, 60, went on to call Beyoncé a “record-breaker” and a “history maker,” adding, “With Cowboy Carter, you have changed the game once again by helping redefine a music genre and transform our culture.” I’m so happy for you!

According to the statement, the album’s performance serves as “a reminder that we can still dance, sing, and be who we are unapologetically, despite everything we’ve been through to be heard, seen, and recognized.”

Obama then urged Americans to vote and utilize their authority by reminding them of their rights and using Beyoncé as an example.

“We can each use our unique gifts and talents to make our voices heard on the issues that matter most to us. There is power in our history, in our joy, and in our votes.”

“We need to ‘keep the faith’ and ‘VOTE!’ as Queen Bey says at the end of Ya Ya,” she said, quoting one of the 27 songs on the platinum-selling album.
