‘Animal’ surpasses ‘Jawan’ to become the second fastest-ever INR 100 crore Hindi film
Animal, the most recent movie starring Ranbir Kapoor, has soared past Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, to become the second-fastest INR 100 crore Hindi film at the domestic box office. The Hindi version of Animal outperformed Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which took in ₹111.73 crore nett in the first two days of its release, with an astounding ₹113.12 crore nett, according to a report by Sacnilk.com.
On the list of the fastest INR100 crore earners in Hindi film, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan holds the top rank with an incredible ₹123 crore nett in India over the same two-day period. Animal comes in second. According to Hindustan Times, moviegoers have been enthralled with the competition between these two Bollywood heavyweights for supremacy at the box office, with fans actively following the performance of each movie.
Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 and Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 have joined the ranks of these cinematic heavyweights in the top five fastest INR100 crore Hindi films. Both films reached the coveted milestone in the first two days of their respective releases. With ₹101 crore nett on Diwali 2023, Tiger 3 holds the fourth position, while Yash’s masterpiece, which was released in two days, comes in fifth place with ₹100.74 crore nett.
Remarkably, Gadar 2, the much anticipated follow-up to Sunny Deol’s 2001 smash film Gadar, crossed the ₹100 crore nett mark in India in just three days after its August 2023 release. Due to its remarkable box office performance, the movie brought in ₹135.18 crore nett by the end of the third day.
The 2017 blockbuster Baahubali 2: The Conclusion comes in at number seven on the list. It took the movie three days to reach the ₹100 crore nett club and ₹128 crore in its Hindi version. With ₹120.06 crore nett in three days, Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju (2018) comes in eighth place. Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai and Prabhas’s Adipurush complete the top ten with ₹114.93 crore nett and ₹112.75 crore nett in their first three days of release, respectively.
