Sheikha Asma Conquers Nanga Parbat Her 9th 8000er

Sheikha Asma Al Thani Climbs Nanga Parbat, One of the World’s Toughest Mountains

Nanga Parbat is a very high mountain in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is 8,126 meters tall.

Sheikha Asma Al Thani has now climbed Nanga Parbat. This is the ninth mountain she has climbed out of the 14 tallest mountains in the world, all of which are over 8,000 meters high.

She said Nanga Parbat was one of the hardest climbs she has ever done. The weather was very bad, with snowstorms, black ice, and falling rocks. She wrote on Instagram, “Alhamdulillah, Nanga Parbat. My ninth 8000er and one of the toughest climbs I’ve faced. This mountain tested me in ways I didn’t expect… a constant reminder of how fragile life truly is.”

She also talked about how the climb affected her emotionally. She said it taught her how strong she still is. She added, “I climb not just to reach summits but to return to what matters.”

Sheikha Asma has also climbed Mount Everest, K2, and Makalu. People around the world respect her for her achievements.
