Swat Operation: 3 Terrorists Killed by Police in Ghaligay
SWAT: Police in Swat killed three terrorists during an operation in the Parrai area of Ghaligay on Friday evening.
According to District Police Officer (DPO) Umar Khan Gandapur, the police launched the operation at 7 PM after receiving a tip about the presence of militants in the area. The terrorists opened fire on the police, who returned fire and killed all three of them.
One of the dead terrorists was of Afghan origin and was wanted in nine terrorism cases. The other two were involved in two cases each.
Police recovered weapons, including hand grenades, Kalashnikovs, and pistols, from the scene. They also seized mobile phones to trace other members of the group. A search operation is ongoing.
9 More Terrorists Killed in KP’s Hangu Operation
Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police, along with other security agencies, carried out an operation in Zargari and Shnawoori areas of Hangu district.
According to a police spokesperson, nine terrorists were killed during a heavy exchange of fire. District Police Officer Khalid Khan and SHO Nabi Khan were injured in the clash and taken to a hospital.
Authorities say efforts to eliminate terrorism in the region will continue.
