Four Men Die After Billboard Touches Electric Wires in Lahore
LAHORE – A tragic incident happened in Lahore when a metal billboard touched electric wires, causing the death of four men due to electric shock.
Officials said the iron signboard was installed on a shop and came into contact with overhead electricity wires. This led to the electrocution of the men who were trying to remove it.
According to eyewitnesses, the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) had told the shop owner to take down the signboard. The shopkeepers could not find an electrician and decided to remove the signboard themselves to avoid a police case.
Sadly, four people lost their lives. They have been identified as:
Nadeem, 45 years old
Noman, 25 years old
Awais, 26 years old
One man is still unidentified
Girl Survives Electric Shock Near an Electric Pole
In a separate incident, a 9-year-old girl named Rameen was walking with her brother near Shalimar Link Road in Lahore. She stepped into the rainwater and accidentally touched an electric pole.
She received a shock and got stuck to the pole, but her brother quickly pulled her away and saved her life.
