Aaminah Haq remains unfazed in the face of body shaming by Amna Ilyas.
In our brown culture, we’re so accustomed at pointing out people’s features or even their insecurities.
Racism and body shamming has become a norm in our culture. People who’re doing this reacts as if they’re doing it out of care.
As if it wasn’t known to that specific person what he/she looks like. It has become a conversation over tea.
Body shamming is defined as the act of making inappropriate and negative comments about another person’s appearance.
Unfortunately, it’s very common in our surroundings.
What Amna Ilyas said?
Amna Ilyas is under hot waters for casually and amusingly stating the appearance/features of former model Aaminah Haq.
And laughing about it, giving high fives, at her interview with Hassan Sheheryar Yasin aka HSY.

In it, models Amna Ilyas and Sadaf Kanwal (not known for being politically correct) are seen engaged in a ‘harmless’ game of Guess the Celebrity.
When asked about a certain former Pakistani supermodel, Aaminah Haq.
Ilyas points out how she has gained weight in a rather appalling manner.
Proud of their little comment, the models can be seen high-fiving each other.
Aaminah Haq’s reaction
Haq remain totally unbothered and definitely handled the situation maturely.
Taking to her Instagram story, Haq responded, “A few of you have tagged me in something a model/actress said about me. Truth be told, if body shaming me made brought some small shred of joy in her life, then your welcome!”
She continued, “Unhappy people tend to gravitate towards hate instead of kindness and compassion.”
