A Soldier Martyred In IED Blast At Check Post In North Waziristan

An IED exploded at a security check post on Boya to Miranshah Road in North Waziristan, killing one soldier.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), an IED exploded at a security check post on Boya to Miranshah Road in North Waziristan, killing 33-year-old soldier Sajid.

The military media wing stated that security forces have cordoned off the area for a clearance operation.

During a search operation on Saturday, three Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom in South Waziristan.

As per the statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the three martyred soldiers lost their lives after terrorists fired at security forces’ blocking position during the search operation.

The martyred soldiers were identified as Subedar Nadeem, Sepoy Saleem, and Lance Naik Musawar. On the other hand, four of the Pakistani soldiers were also received injuries during the operation.

ISPR issued a statement which said that the terrorists attacked the security forces at 5 kilometers south-east of Ghariom near North Waziristan District and South Waziristan District boundary.

The official statement issued by the military’s media wing read that,

“Captain Sabih and Sepoy Naveed embraced shahadat; while two other soldiers sustained injuries during the incident.”

Earlier on September 7, the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan’s area Mir Ali and killed terrorist Wasim Zakaria along with his five associates.

Wasim was a wanted terrorist who was the mastermind of 30 different terrorist acts from 2019 till now.

According to the statement released by the ISPR, the security forces have also apprehended 10 key terrorists.

As per the details, the terrorist Wasim was involved in target killings, attacked government agencies, martyred CSS officers including Zubaidullah Dawar, and attacked security forces including an attack on an army convoy near Hasso Khel.

Earlier in June, two soldiers were martyred during an exchange of fire between a patrolling party of the security forces and a group of terrorists. One terrorist was also killed by the Pakistan Army.
