Alia Bhatt clarifies remarks about husband Ranbir and defends his character
After being met with criticism for her frank comments regarding her husband Ranbir Kapoor’s lipstick choices, Alia Bhatt addressed the matter on the Koffee With Karan 8 couch. She defended Ranbir’s character during the ongoing discussions, saying that he is the antithesis of the labels that are being bandied about.
In response to the controversy surrounding her remarks, Alia said, “I speak very candidly; sometimes things are taken out of context, which happened lately. “Ye kuch out of hand jaara hai,” my crew informed me. Serious papers were written detailing his harmful nature. “The only reason I feel bad is because he is genuinely the opposite, you cannot say anything about it,” she continued, expressing her anxiety.
Alia went deeper into the matter by highlighting Ranbir’s viewpoint on public opinion. “Ranbir says this, ‘Alia the audience owns you, they can say whatever the hell they want to say about you, as long as your movies are doing well please don’t complain sitting in your apartment in Bandra.'”
She elaborated on the now-contentious incident about wiping off lipstick at Ranbir’s request: “My husband used to say, ‘Wipe that [lipstick] off,’ when we went out at night. Take that away. since he adores my lips’ natural color.”
Online comments criticizing Ranbir’s position, such as “The more I listen about Ranbir Kapoor the more I feel scared for her,” were among the many strong emotions triggered by the incident. When your spouse or lover tells you to remove your lipstick, it’s the biggest indication that you should leave.”
Regarding her career, Alia is fully committed to Jigra, a film in which she is both the lead actress and producer in association with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The movie, which is slated for release on September 27, 2024, stars her alongside Ranveer Singh and is titled Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
On the other hand, Ranbir is preparing for the December 1 release of Animal, which stars Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna. In addition, he will play the lead in the historical drama Ramayana, which will add thrilling new roles to his resume.
