Nawaz Sharif, leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-N, and his brother, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, have pledged to hold elections on schedule and resist any outside pressure. Hassan Nawaz, Nawaz’s son, hosted the meeting in his workplace. The meeting also included Salman Shehbaz and Ishaq Dar, a former minister of finance.
The two PML-N leaders conferred about the state of the country’s economy and government. The premier also updated his older sibling on the situation following the disastrous floods and the government’s rescue efforts. In a conversation with Nawaz Sharif, the prime minister stated that the country’s current priorities are the recovery of flood victims and the enhancement of the economy.

He announced that the government has set aside seventy billion rupees to help those who have been impacted by the recent floods. In a statement, the Prime Minister announced that the Benazir Income Support Programme will provide monetary assistance of Rs 25,000 to each family in the country that had been affected by the floods.
