On Friday, police said that every foreign passenger in a car that was the target of a suicide assault in the Landhi region had been relocated to a secret place and was safe.

They said to Geo News that when the automobile was attacked earlier today in Landhi’s Mansehra Colony, two terrorists who were part in the incident were killed. Five foreign nationals were in the car.

According to DIG East Azfar Mahesar, the first inquiry indicates that the assailants were on foot. He also mentioned that three magazines, an SMG, and six hand grenades that the police had taken from the insurgents.

“Two gasoline bottles were also carried by the assailants. The police officer stated, “The attackers had all the items in a bag.”

The terrorist detonated himself, according to the DIG, damaging a neighboring car and motorcycle in the explosion.

He said that the Sharafi Goth police station staff also engaged the terrorists, and that a police vehicle stationed at a nearby gas pump had arrived at the scene after hearing the explosion.

According to the DIG East, the attack happened this morning at 6:50 a.m.

The DIG added that behind the targeted vehicle containing the employees was another corporate vehicle manned by security personnel.

He continued by saying that the security personnel behind the van returned fire after the terrorists had started fire on it.

“One terrorist approached the van and blew himself up, while the other terrorist was killed by gunfire from security guards,” he claimed.

According to the police officer, attempts will be made to use the terrorist’s fingerprints to identify the deceased.

Additionally, he said that the police had previously been alerted due to security risks involving foreign individuals in the city.

He went on to say that security plans have been created for both non-CPEC and CPEC projects along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Following the incident earlier today, the police stated that the terrorists on bikes had targeted the vehicle. They further mentioned that from the crime site, a bag containing Kalashnikov rifles and grenades was discovered.

The suicide nature of the incident was verified by SSP Malir Tariq Mastoi. According to the police officer, the explosion also caused damage to a second car.

They claimed to have also heard gunshots.

The second terrorist slain in the battle was a suicide bomber, according to preliminary findings released by the police.

The statement said, “A suicide jacket and a grenade are tied to the terrorist’s body,” and claimed that a bomb disposal squad was en route to the attack location.

They further stated that the injured were being sent to a local hospital after the incident. In the meanwhile, the victims’ nationality has not yet been determined.

The fact that the foreign nationals were employed in the export processing zone was also disclosed by the law enforcement organization.

They had departed Zamzama in two vehicles, according to a security officer who saw the event while accompanying the nationals and spoke. Then, he said, there was a huge explosion heard close to Mansehra Colony.

The security guard stated, “A terrorist was firing at the vehicle after the explosion.”

“Suicide bombers were holding out for a car.”

Later, Raja Umar Khattab, the in-charge of the Counter Terrorism Department, revealed to reporters that the foreigners were traveling in three automobiles while speaking to the media at the scene of the crime.

He said that as the car slowed down because of a speed limit, the suicide bombers, who were waiting nearby, attacked.

He stated that the terrorists arrived on a motorbike and were pursuing the automobile. “The security guard fired at the attackers and thwarted the attack,” he said.

He continued, saying that they dismounted their motorcycles close to the scene, walked up to the van, and then opened fire.

Murad CM requests report

In the meantime, Inspector General of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon has been asked to provide a report on the bombing in Mansehra Colony by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

The chief minister gave the police orders to find out every detail on the identities and origins of the terrorists as well as to look into any potential accomplices.

He praised the police for acting promptly after the incident and stressed that anti-national groups intended to disturb the nation’s peace and order.

Attack leaves one dead and two injured

The management of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center informed Geo News that 45-year-old security guard Noor Muhammad, one of the attack victims, passed away from his wounds while receiving treatment.

After his condition worsened, the security guard—who had been assigned to protect the foreigners inside the vehicles—was put on a ventilator.

In the meantime, a second wounded Salman was also placed on a ventilator. The administration also stated that one further injured person is being treated at the hospital.

Additionally, the suicide bombers’ bodies have been moved to the hospital.

Officials from Jinnah Hospital earlier informed Geo News that two of the three injured patients who were transported to the hospital had serious injuries. Noor Muhammad, Langar Khan, and Salman Rafiq were named as the injured, along with two security guards and an onlooker.

They also affirmed that the collision did not result in any injuries to foreign nationals.

Three people were sent to the emergency department after being hurt in the explosion, according to Dr. Nosheen, the emergency room manager at Jinnah Hospital.

In an interview with reporters at the hospital, she also stated that one injured person, 43-year-old Noor Muhammad, had a critical condition.

Following first assistance, according to Dr. Nosheen, the wounded party would be sent to the neurosurgical unit.

She then on, “There are no foreigners among the injured.”

Salman’s brother, Shahzad Sadiq, acknowledged that his brother was hurt in the explosion and the shooting that followed.

He revealed to reporters at the Jinnah Hospital that Salman was a fireman who was traveling to Port Qasim for work.

Shahzad added, “Salman has been hit by bullets in different parts of his body,” and that his brother had told his wife about the damage.

Governor Tessori directs the attack report
Kamran Tessori, the governor of Sindh, denounced the suicide attack in Landhi and ordered the CCPO and IG to submit a report on the incident.

The governor declared, “Terrorism will not be tolerated in the city under any circumstances.”

In order to identify the perpetrators of the act, he requested that law enforcement investigate its motivations.
