PM Modi is praised by Lara Dutta after labelling Muslims as infiltrators

To stay relevant, Lara Dutta appears to have borrowed a page from the Bollywood playbook that is now doing the rounds. In an uncommon political statement, the star told Zoom that she agreed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks on Muslims made during a rally in Rajasthan.

When asked about Modi’s speech in Rajasthan, according to the transcript made public by Times Now News, Dutta said, “We are all human beings at the end of the day it is very difficult to keep all the people happy all the time and if the if we are not exempt from trolling neither is the PM of this country, but I think all of us take that in our stride.”

“You can’t keep weighing and walking carefully because you don’t want to upset people on either side,” she said. You will eventually have to stick to your convictions and your version of reality! Bravo for having the courage to do that skillfully! Ultimately, you must adhere to your personal convictions.”

The celebrity also answered a query concerning Indian cultural values. “You’re born with the patriotism that is there and if you’re not then you got to do a reality check on yourself,” she said. “Because I would always be devoted to India if I am born here. That is all there is to it.” The actress, who later married a tennis player, continued, saying, “You can’t take that out of us as Indians. Mahesh always played for the Indian flag and he’s very certain and clear that tomorrow our daughter should follow her father’s footsteps and she will always play for the Indian flag.” We cannot remove India from ourselves.

Following the Prime Minister’s remarks at a rally, Dutta expressed support for Modi, stating that during the Congress party’s rule, “they said Muslims have the first right over the country’s resources.””The party will gather all your wealth and distribute it among those who have more children if it returns to power,” he said, drawing cheers. “Do you think your hard-earned money should be given to infiltrators?” he said, going on, “They will distribute it among infiltrators?”

According to ABC News, Modi’s remarks were denounced as “hate speech” by Congress party President Mallikarjun Kharge, and party spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi called them “deeply, deeply objectionable.” The head of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen party and a Muslim MP, Asaduddin Owaidi, declared, “Since 2002 till this day, the only Modi guarantee has been to abuse Muslims and get votes.”
