Karachi Sindh Rain & Rough Seas Alert

Karachi, Sindh Braces for Rain, Rough Seas as Monsoon Lingers

Karachi and several districts in southeastern Sindh are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall in the coming days, the Meteorological Department has warned.

Authorities have also predicted rough sea conditions along Sindh’s coastal belt, with high waves and winds expected to reach 45 to 55 km/h. Fishermen have been strictly advised not to venture into deep waters until October 3.

Deputy commissioners and other local officials across Sindh have been directed to remain alert and take precautionary measures to ensure public safety.

Experts say the unusual weather is caused by the convergence of two major systems—one from the Arabian Sea and another from the Bay of Bengal—which could bring widespread rain, thunderstorms, and even cyclone-like conditions to various parts of the country.
