The BEST One-Pot Mac & Cheese Recipe Ever!

After two years of shamelessly trying to hit the mark, I found the best recipe to make Mac & Cheese in minutes. It’s got the perfect amount of cheese, hence just the right amount of richness. And you only need 4 basic ingredients to hack it. This is no-fuss, no-muss comfort food that’ll literally take less than 15 minutes to make and you’d keep coming back for more. It’s that good, pinky promise!

Wanna know how to make it? Let’s go!

What you’ll need

  • 2 cups of Full-Fat Milk
  • 1 cup of Macaroni Pasta
  • 5 slices of American/Yellow/Cheddar Cheese (Mix 2 or more varieties for an interesting flavor)
  • 1 Chicken Cube
  • Black Pepper (optional-to taste)
  • Salt (optional, since the chicken cube has salt too)

Buy your cheese from here.

Method

  1. In a saucepan, pour 2 cups of milk, a chicken cube, and raw macaroni and cook on medium-high flame.
  2. After 5-7 minutes, check if the macaroni has fully cooked in the milk or not. If it’s not al dente yet, keep cooking for a few more minutes on low flame this time. Keep stirring it occasionally to ensure it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan.
  3. Just when the milk starts to thicken, put the cheese, salt, and pepper (to taste) in it. Mix well, but gently.
  4. When the cheese has fully melted, it’s time to dish it. Turn the flame off, stick out your favorite plate and pour the piping hot, saucy pasta on it. Add a dollop of butter on top if it’s your cheat day (because you totally deserve to indulge a little) or some grated cheese of your liking. Voila. You just made the best Mac & Cheese ever! Bon Appetit!

Easy, eh? Once you’ve mastered the subtle art of making this tantalizing pasta, you’d want to have it every single day. And if not, at least this will become an indispensable must-have in all your movie night-ins. Just don’t invite your fitness trainer to one. They’ll either break your head or their own!

Up for a desi dessert that also requires no effort to make? Seviyon ka Zarda it is!
