KU students stage a protest in support of Palestine

On Tuesday, hundreds of University of Karachi students demonstrated their support for Palestine by taking part in a demonstration. Male and female students expressed their support for the cause during the rally, which was organized by Jamaat-e-Islami’s student branch, Islami Jamiat-e-Talba.

The head of Jamaat-e-Islami in Karachi, Munim Zafar Khan, addressed the assembly and emphasized the importance of the occasion by saying, “We have gathered at Karachi University to express solidarity with the people of Gaza.” The world has been outraged by the sacrifices made by the oppressed Palestinians. The world has witnessed the 77-year struggle of Palestinians for their rights.”

“On the one hand they talk about freedom of expression and on the other hand show-cause notices have been issued to the students who expressed solidarity with Palestine in America,” wrote Khan, highlighting the contradiction of free speech. “Students are peaceful they have resisted the oppressor.”

Khan emphasized the contradiction of free speech, pointing out
While discussing the right to free speech, they also issue show-cause letters to students who have shown support for Palestine in the United States. Because they have opposed the oppressor, the students are calm.

As a further example of the difficulties American students endure, Khan said, “Students in the United States have set up camps in the university while they are being threatened to demolish the camp.”

“The goal of this struggle is to give freedom to Palestine,” he said, highlighting the struggle’s worldwide character. Not just the students at the University of Karachi, but all Muslims should join this movement and show support for one another.”

Participants at the demonstration waved Palestinian flags and chanted anti-Israel chants to show their outrage.
