PMC: No out of course questions to be included in MDCAT
PMC: The Examination Paper Review Committee of Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) will remove out of syllabus question from scoring in Medical and Dental Admission Test (MDCAT).
PMC Announced that MDCAT will be held on Nov 15 and last date to register for it is Nov 6.
The PMC on Thursday said students should not worry regarding out of course exam.
PMC notification to students
In a recent notification, PMC clarified that MDCAT will be set on common syllabus.
They also said that no topic outside the existing recognized syllabi of FSC in Pakistan.
The notification read;
“The question bank for the MDCAT Paper has also based on the singular principle that no question appears which is outside any of the existing recognized syllabi of F.S.c in Pakistan.”
PMC further said;
“If any question appears in the paper which is outside of any syllabus; removed from scoring; by the Examination Paper Review Committee immediately for all students.”
Students appearing in the MDCAT exam will be provided an objection form at the examination center.
In the form they can record any objection to any question they believe is outside the syllabus of the relevant Board.
Objections reviewing is immediate after completion of the MDCAT exam on 15th November 2020.
Whereas, there will be no evaluation for the questions that are unseen/out of syllabus.
The notification also said;
“All objections being communicated regarding any topics at this time are also being constantly reviewed by the relevant committee finalizing the question bank for the paper.”
