Elon Musk speaks out about postponing his trip to India

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, disclosed the cause of the premature cancellation of his earlier-announced trip to India on Saturday.

The 52-year-old Musk stated on the previous Twitter platform X, “Unfortunately, very heavy Tesla obligations require that the visit to India be delayed, but I do very much look forward to visiting later this year.”

In response to another post on X saying that Musk’s travel to India, which was “originally scheduled for April 21 and 22,” had been postponed, the tech tycoon gave an explanation for the delay.

“Tesla’s earnings call on April 23” was mentioned in the post as another possible explanation for the publication’s delay.

Musk made a widely reported announcement on X earlier this month, saying he was excited to meet 73-year-old Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in India.

Many speculated that the tech tycoon was going to India to suggest that Tesla establish production facilities there after connecting his X post to an announcement by the Union government many weeks prior.

The notice concerned a new policy on the production of electric vehicles, which permits the government to grant tariff exemptions to electric vehicle manufacturers that commit to producing their products in India.

In addition, the CEO of SpaceX was scheduled to spend 48 hours in India meeting with the Prime Minister, space entrepreneurs, and business executives.

The tech tycoon visit has been postponed ahead of the nation’s important elections, which Modi is expected to win. However, because the model code of conduct has been implemented, an official statement on Starlink may not occur, according Business Today.
